Valerie’s last concert and farewell lunch

Our concert at Caversham Heights Methodist Church was very special. The choir really got inside Chilcott’s St John Passion and made it their own, and delivered a very moving performance to a full church. Ian Westley, Clare Young, Michael Kay and Alan Whiting were brilliant; Rebekah Clarke played the cello wonderfully, and Martin Jones kept us all together with his excellent accompaniment. Sally Hunter joined us and shone in the Goodall pieces and the Rutter Gloria was a fitting triumph to The HoppĂ© Years.
